Hi Tom,

In xp, when I am under the kmotioncnc tool setup, tool/setup files tab. When you hit the > file browser button the application crashes.

I can change the text on the file directory line just fine, but the browser button does not work.

I don't need a patch or anything, I can work around this, unless you would like me to test the fix for this, its up to you Tom.

  Thanks,

   Andrew

Hi Tom,

I thought the file access crash only affected the tool setup page, but it affects the open gcode tab as well. Same result, program crash.

I did not notice this right away because I transfer programs to kmotioncnc via cut and paste into the gcode window, so its still not an immediate problem for me.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the info.  We're still working on it.  It has to do with the new Windows Open File Dialogs that changed from XP to Vista.

Hopefully we'll have a fix soon.

Regards

TK

Same for me. 4.34g same as 4.34f.

During installation it first said:
"requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2"
(I hit OK)

a few seconds later it said:
Issues preventing installation:
.NET Framework 4.6.2 isn't supported by this operating system.
Warning:
The program installation service of the windows modules isn't available in the computer.  The installation may not be exectuted correctly.

After that it completed the installation and KmotionCNC was still aborting on file browsing.

As I need to use the machine, I reverted to 4.33 and it apparently works again as before

Hi EC,

In case you are not following, Andrew reports Version 4.34h fixes the issue.

The .NET framework is only needed for the other example applications like KMotionCNC Screen Editor so you can ignore the error.   If you need to run those you will need to use a computer with a newer OS.   Any Screens created with KMotionCNC Screen Editor should then run on the XP system.

Yes! Yes! It works for me, too!  I was testing it right now.
Thank you a lot!

Regarding the possibility to develop the screens on another computer, it's even better!

Thank you!
